Data Dive and GDPR
Data Dive from Collate Systems helps B2B companies grow by sourcing appropriate B2B contacts for direct marketing of goods and services.
Our service helps our customers find the most appropriate business contacts to speak with, where they have a legitimate interest in doing so. We provide tools to help engage them across a variety of channels, including email, social media and telephone.
Collate Systems process data under the ‘legitimate interest’ clause of the GDPR. Data Dive is not a centrally maintained database of business contacts. Rather, Data Dive is a proprietary application and set of processes. For each client instruction, we use a combination of human effort and technology to source the most appropriate B2B connections and contact details.
The data we create contains business information only, which may include social media handles, email addresses and phone numbers. All data produced via Data Dive falls into one of three categories: it is either publicly available, can be calculated based on other publicly available data, or is accessed via GDPR and CCPA compliant databases.
Anyone can opt out of their business data being included with Data Dive here.
We do not process the data to profile people further than is required for each client instruction or our own legitimate interests.
The processes and technology built for Data Dive are intended to minimise the processing, storage and retention of data to ensure best practice within the GDPR.
We store data for only as long as it is required for a client instruction. If consent is removed, the business contact will not be included in any subsequent Data Dive projects.
We are registered with the ICO and committed to full transparency.
